Pune’s bastis (slums) never raged so much with music and joy as they do with Vijay’s raps. Driven with his undying passion and love for his mother, his
life takes a turn when he meets someone he never expected to.
Music takes a hard-core form in Arjun who is a ‘jigra’ dost of Vijay’s. His music store becomes the turning point where duos become a trio.
The classical touch is brought about by Purva, modern in her mindset, culturally driven in her way of being. She meets Vijay upon hearing him freestyle at the music store. Friendships grow and their stories are driven through their respective forms of music. Bonds
become tight and relationships blossom as love comes into the picture, but class discrimination and the society’s non-acceptance of rap as music forces the trio to fall apart; Vijay away from Arjun and Purva.
Connected through their forms of music, the film culminates with a raging performance where the diversity of music is celebrated and they overlook their differences to put on a grand show, a finale song highlighting the pride of Marathi culture.
